Prices, films and series, all about this new streaming service

After MyCanal, OCS, Netflix, Prime Video, Lionsgate +, Disney +, Apple TV + or Salto, Paramount + arrives this Thursday in France! A year after the launch in France of Pluto TV, its ad-supported streaming service, the American group Paramount (formerly ViacomCBS) is continuing its offensive.

“We are proud to launch Paramount + in France, the only streaming service where you can find Sylvester Stallone, SpongeBob SquarePants and Harrison Ford in the same place alongside iconic brands such as Star Trek, South Park, Halo and recent or classic films that have marked world cinema,” said Marco Nobili, executive vice president and international general manager of Paramount +, in a press release.

Launched across the Atlantic in 2021, the platform, available in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia, Italy, Ireland and South Korea, already has and already 43 million subscribers worldwide. How to subscribe and at what price?

The offer will be available directly via Paramount + at the price of 7.99 euros per month or 79.90 euros per year, with a 7-day free trial period. Paramount + will therefore be available on the Web and mobile application, as well as on Samsung, Apple, Amazon and Google TV televisions.

In February, Paramount (then called ViacomCBS) and Canal+ entered into a partnership so that Canal+ would be the only player in France to be able to integrate Paramount+ into its commercial offers. Subscription to Paramount + will be included, at no extra cost, in the Canal+ Ciné Séries pack (channel 24). The latter is offered at the price of €34.90/month, with two years of commitment, or €40.99/month, without commitment. It is not excluded that Canal+ offers limited series with Paramount + included.

The platform will also be available “on the web, on mobile and via a wide selection of connected televisions”, indicates Paramount +. Orange TV subscribers will be able to enjoy Paramount + from this Wednesday on channel 69 of their box and enjoy two months free before being billed €7.99/month. Orange is the first operator to offer the platform in France.

What types of content on Paramount +?

“With over a century of storytelling experience from our prestigious Hollywood studios and production companies around the world, Paramount is unrivaled in creating a content offering capable of seduce the widest audience,” promises Marco Nobili in a press release.

Content on this new platform will be sourced from Paramount brands and production studios, such as Paramount Pictures, CBS, Showtime, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, BET, and the Smithsonian Channel. With more than 4,000 programs (films, series, documentaries), including 17,000 series episodes, the Paramount group has a copious and prestigious catalogue. Like its competitors, the streaming service also promises original productions and exclusive content.

What movies to see on Paramount +?

Among the films that will be available this Thursday, are expected in particular the franchises Impossible mission, star trek, IndianaJones or transformerscult films, such as pulp Fiction or even the trilogy of Godfather.

The streaming service will also offer French cinema classics such as The Big Blue, The Children of Paradise, Jean de Florette, The War of the Buttons (1973), The Goat, The Three Brothers, The Boys and Guillaume at the Table, Cloclothe Cédric Klapisch trilogy, and more.

The platform will also offer unreleased films such as Jerry & Marge Go Large, worn by Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening, comedy Honor Society which follows a high school girl desperate to enter Harvard, the animated film Stevebased on the graphic novel monster on the hill by Rob Harrell, secret basea superhero film starring Owen Wilson, the thriller An obsession from elsewhere Where Ready to drillwhich follows the rise of a young female rapper.

As for documentaries, Iam Gallagher: Knebworth 22 follows the return of the emblematic singer of Oasis to one of the most significant places in the history of his former group, in Knebworth, where in 1996 Oasis gave two concerts in front of 125,000 people, a record at the time.

What series to see on Paramount +?

Paramount + can count on Showtime series (dexterTrillions, Yellowjacketsetc.), CBS, Comedy Central (South Park), or the more family-friendly ones from Nickelodeon (Spongebob, Paw Patrol).

Subscribers will also have access to original Paramount+ productions and exclusive Showtime productions. The Offera miniseries behind the scenes of the filming of the Godfather and The First Lady, behind-the-scenes miniseries of the First Lady’s office worn by Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson will be available in December.
