Preventing the examination of the repeal text “would be unacceptable” for Laurent Berger (CFDT)

Preventing the examination of the bill aimed at repealing the decline in the legal retirement age, as provided for by the majority, “would be unacceptable”, said Tuesday evening the secretary general of the CFDT, Laurent Berger.

“It would be unacceptable for (this) bill not to be examined by Parliament” as planned on June 8, he declared after an interview at Matignon with Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, adding that his union “will continue (the) mobilization on the question of pensions” with in particular a 14th day of strike and demonstration on June 6.
