Chancellor Olaf Scholz has tested positive for Corona. Government spokesman Steffen Hebestreit announced that he had mild cold symptoms and immediately went into isolation in the chancellor’s apartment in the Federal Chancellery.
Accordingly, this week’s public events will be cancelled. “The Chancellor wants to hold internal appointments and the scheduled meeting with the Prime Ministers of the federal states virtually,” said Hebestreit. This also applies to the planned summit meeting with the heads of government of the federal states on Wednesday.

Scholz was already there digitally at the first conference: Scholz should have met with the SPD leadership in the Willy-Brandt-Haus in the morning on the occasion of the upcoming introduction of the minimum wage increase.
