The BR has found a successor for Verena Altenberger at “Police Call 110”. Johanna Wokalek plays investigator Cris Blohm.

After Verena Altenberger (34) left Munich’s “Polizeiruf 110”, Bayerischer Rundfunk has already found a successor. Johanna Wokalek (47) will play the role of chief inspector Cris Blohm, as announced by BR.

Wokalek is already in front of the camera for the crime series. According to the broadcaster, filming on the new “Little Boxes” case began this week. Filming is expected to be completed by August 12th. It will not be broadcast until next year and is planned for the second half of the year. Dror Zahavi (63) directs, the screenplay comes from Stefan Weigl.

About a week ago it was announced that Altenberger was getting off at the Munich police call number 110. In autumn she will be in front of the camera again as Elisabeth “Bessie” Eyckhoff for a case with the working title “Paranoia”. The whole thing is then expected to be broadcast in the first half of 2023.

That’s what “Little Boxes” is about

Cris Blohm has returned to Munich after an assignment abroad. Her investigations after the death of a doctoral student lead her into the university milieu. She encounters claims that the murder victim was a rapist who received his “just” punishment. In the difficult investigations with her colleagues Dennis Eden (Stephan Zinner) and Otto Ikwuakwu (Bless Amada), Blohm does not get any further at first.
