There are also numerous places in Europe that offer pleasant temperatures and plenty of sun in winter. The travel booking portal Holidu.de analyzed which travel destinations are the warmest in winter. The result is a list of a total of 130 European locations for a warm break by the sea – in winter.
Europe vacation: ten warm travel destinations in winter
For the study, the portal examined all coastal cities in Europe that are less than a kilometer from the water. With the help of weather data, the average temperature and the average hours of sunshine in the winter months were calculated and combined to create a ranking.
