A new outdoor fitness facility is being built at the Planegger Feodor-Lynen-Gymnasium. In the future, you can do body weight exercises on the calisthenics equipment, as Eve-Marie Bussiek from the building authority in the town hall explained to the local councilors at the most recent building committee meeting. Several municipal councils from Freie Wahlern, FDP and Grüner Gruppe 21 had already applied for a corresponding sports facility last year, but for the green area on Lichtweg.
The municipal administration has now had an area near the beach volleyball field at the high school checked as a location. A number of bicycle stands would have to give way for this. The new situation was welcomed in the committee, but Philipp von Hirsch (CSU) criticized that the devices on offer were hardly suitable for seniors. The system will cost around 120,000 euros and will be built in the course of the coming year.
