Planegg: Independent of energy imports – district of Munich

Dramatic changes on the energy market, fateful dependencies – in the past few months, the need to expand renewable energies has become clear. “When will the Würmtal become energy self-sufficient?” The mayors of the municipalities in the Würmtal investigated this question during the panel discussion in the Kupferhaus in Planegg on Saturday. The municipality of Planegg hosted the “Würmtal Energy Day”, which took place for the first time after a two-year Corona break. The heads of the town hall first presented the plans and projects in their respective communities, after which the audience was able to have environmentally friendly technology explained to them by experts at various information stations. An info box was available for questions from the citizenry, in which the questions that were answered by the podium in the second part of the event are collected. In the end it became clear: the road to energy independence is still long and challenging, but the five Würmtal communities Gauting, Graefelfing, Krailling, Neuried and Planegg want to become independent of energy imports and are taking many steps towards this individually and together.
