Pianist Alexander Melnikov in the Prinzregententheater – Munich

An open question, a broken phrase leads to the final cheers, because Mozart’s D minor Fantasy (KV 397) is (probably) a fragment. But the question about Alexander Melnikov’s qualities has already been clearly answered. The Russian pianist invites you into the realm of fantasy – almost all of the evening’s pieces have this title – and to a walk in the instrument park: five pianos pose on the stage of the Prinzregententheater, a harpsichord, three fortepianos and a Steinway.
