Rome – The situation in Italy is critical. The northern Italian region of Emilia Romagna, the Marche and the upper Adriatic are particularly affected. Storms with heavy rain cause flooding in the cities and on the. People are locked in their homes, streets have turned into torrential floods. There are fatalities, several people are missing, thousands have to be evacuated. The civil defense already warned on Monday (May 15). There is no relaxation in sight. The bad weather should last for several days with breaks.
