A lonely model airplane on the living room table, half-empty bookshelves: only a few days left and then, after a year in Hamburg, Lea Ypi will move back to London with her family. The philosopher, professor at the London School of Economics, is only 42 years old and has already had an eventful life, which she writes about in her book “Frei”: Growing up in Stalinist Albania, she moved to the USA after the collapse of the Eastern bloc World. She is currently learning her seventh foreign language: Greek. She gets another coffee, crouches on the sofa and then speaks with a speed and precision that impresses.
