Petit Fritz in Schwabing: Small delicacies from France – Munich

Apparently you can’t live in Munich without a favorite Italian. In the better circles you used to have a favorite Frenchman, preferably in Haidhausen, which was also called the “French Quarter”. Not because of the restaurants, but because of the street names: The quarter came into being after the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, primarily with the help of the reparations payments that had been extorted from France after its defeat. However, there were soon many French restaurants there. And a few years ago, with Chez Fritz, something like a “scene Frenchman” settled there, with surprisingly good success.
