The TV debt advisor Peter Zwegat is dead. His former broadcaster RTL announced this to the German Press Agency in Cologne. Zwegat died suddenly and unexpectedly at the beginning of August at the age of 74, according to RTL. The funeral took place in the closest circle.
Zwegat was mainly through the RTL broadcast Get out of the Debts became known, which was first broadcast in 2007. In it he gave people a helping hand who were overwhelmed by their financial situation. The trained administrative officer and social worker was known for putting his heart and soul into helping his clients – but also finding harsh words when necessary.
In this way, Zwegat was able to help many over-indebted families or individuals. He sometimes also advised celebrities with financial problems for RTL – for example Nadja “Naddel” Abd el Farrag. Get out of debt ran until 2019 with the Berlin debt advisor.
