JUSTICE – Judicial victory for the only son of the famous perfumer Jean-Paul Guerlain. His partner, Kirsten Kragh Michelsen, was found guilty of moral harassment to a domestic worker and intentional violence on a vulnerable person, that is to say Jean-Paul Guerlain, by the Versailles Court of Appeal on Thursday January 12, report The world and Le Figaro.
The legal war between Stéphane Guerlain and the companion of the former ” nose from Guerlain has been going on for years. The first accuses the second of manipulating his father, 83 years old and suffering from senile dementia, of whom he has been the guardian since 2018. In 2020, he refused that the couple marry. The following year, the one who calls herself Christina accused Stéphane Guerlain of attempted murder. In 2022, she accused him of threatening her with death. Guerlain’s son was released from these facts.
In mid-January, however, the 64-year-old Franco-Danish was sentenced to a four-month suspended prison sentence, and to pay 3,000 euros in damages to Stéphane Guerlain as well as 2,000 euros to the house employee Faouzia M. . At Figarothis one had indicated that Christina “prevented him from doing his job” with Jean-Paul Guerlain. The latter’s partner would also have criticized his cooking and played on his fear of rats. Appeal in cassation
Finally, for the Versailles Court of Appeal, the “ behavior of repeated denigration shown by Kirsten Kragh Michelsen towards Faouzia M. to push her to the limit so that she stops taking care of Jean-Paul Guerlain” can be characterized as bullying. At first instance in the fall of 2021, she had not been convicted but the prosecution had appealed.
Furthermore, the court added in its judgment, “it appears from the testimonies of the various people commissioned by the guardian to intervene at Jean-Paul Guerlain’s home in order to take care of his person that they were unable to carry out their mission because of the obstruction” from Cristina. For the judges, it is the proof of the ” intentional mistreatment constituting the crime of violence”.
At WorldMe Frédéric Bélot, lawyer for Kirsten Kragh Michelsen, regrets “a very hard stop” and indicates that he has provided in cassation. Stéphane Guerlain’s lawyer, for his part, expressed his “ satisfaction “. “It’s important because for ten years Stéphane Guerlain has been subjected to the excesses of this lady (…). I hope it will bring some peace of mind for the end of Mr. Guerlain’s life.”did he declare.
