“People’s Primary” organizers claim more than 100,000 signatories

The organizers of the “Popular Primary”, who intend to nominate a common candidate to the left for the presidential election, claimed on Tuesday more than 100,000 signatories to support their approach.

The objective is now to reach 150,000 signatories. Among the names proposed, personalities already declared in the presidential election – Jean -Luc Mélenchon – or candidates for other primaries – Yannick Jadot, Sandrine Rousseau (EELV) -, as well as officials who have nevertheless indicated that they do not wish to be a candidate, like Christiane Taubira.

The latter nevertheless indicated last week to have “knowledge of this initiative”, which she described as “beautiful and daring”.
