Chalamet as Bob Dylan in US cinemas at Christmas

In the biopic “A Complete Unknown,” Timothée Chalamet as Bob Dylan shows the early success of the folk musician up until his switch to the electric guitar. The release date of the film biography has now been set.
The feature film about the life of Bob Dylan with Timothée Chalamet (28) in the lead role will appear in US cinemas on Christmas. “A Complete Unknown” directed by James Mangold will be on screens in the USA from December 25th, as announced by the studio Searchlight Pictures. Several industry portals reported on the cinema release. A German cinema release has not yet been announced.
In the film, Mangold examines Dylan’s early success as a folk musician up until his switch to the electric guitar at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965. Chalamet, known from “Dune” and “Call Me By Your Name,” plays the lead role of the legendary musician with tousled hair and nasal voice. Co-stars include Edward Norton and Monica Barbaro. Elle Fanning plays a friend of Dylan’s. Dylan, now 83, is involved in the production.
