Penal order against the district assembly president for insulting – Bavaria

The district court of Obernburg has issued a penalty warrant for insulting the Lower Franconian district assembly president Erwin Dotzel. According to the Aschaffenburg public prosecutor’s office, the investigations had revealed on Wednesday that the accused described a party friend as a “right louse” in a group chat of the CSU local branch in Wörth am Main. The public prosecutor’s office then applied to the competent local court to issue a penalty order for insult and to impose a fine. Dotzel can appeal against this. The incident is said to have occurred on September 9th last year. So far, Dotzel has not wanted to comment on the allegation. He has been President of the District Assembly since 2007.
