At the end of this concert in the Prinzregententheater, which was characterized by fiery musical enthusiasm, technical accuracy and symphonic spirit under the energetic and elastic direction of Enrico Onofri, there was a farewell that was as warm as it was wistful for the cellist Michael Weiss. He played in the Munich Chamber Orchestra for 37 years and was its orchestra chairman for many years. It is certainly not easy to leave such an orchestra mother ship that determines your professional life in every way. Michael Weiss was celebrated, his colleagues gave him two extra serenades.
