It has barely started when the 17th legislature is already taking on water. Literally. According to our information, the Kirk depression, which is affecting a large part of France at the start of the week, caused several damages in the grounds of the National Assembly this Wednesday evening. The main site, where the Hemicycle of the National Assembly is located, is certainly not affected for the moment. But flooding damaged several sites at the Palais Bourbon, such as 101 rue de l’Université. In this annex, where many parliamentarians’ offices are located, water has invaded part of the premises, particularly in the basement.

The Victor Hugo room, where conferences are regularly organized, is also submerged by flooding.
