Parent-child initiatives in Munich: Parents fear a lack of support – Munich

The city is terminating its contract with the Munich umbrella organization of parent-child initiatives at the end of the year. This is worrying the organization, but also mothers, fathers and teachers – so much so that they are taking action against it at the city hall.

Munich’s daycare centers are not getting any rest: The excitement over the new deficit funding model has not yet died down, and the next annoyance is on the way. After the private daycare providers, the next ones are getting ready to resist. This time it is the mothers, fathers, teachers and children from parent-child initiatives who are protesting in front of the town hall, holding up colorful posters and wanting to hand over documents to Munich’s third mayor, Verena Dietl. The reason: They are worried about their umbrella organization Toddler Daycare Centers eV (KKT) and how they will keep their daycare centers running without its support.
