A complicated but happy family.

Virginia-based twin sisters Brittany and Briana have sought, found, and married two twin brothers, Josh and Jeremy Salyers. Then the two couples had their children a few months apart. On top of that, the double couple also lives together.

Some twins avoid each other, others go through life together. Brittany and Briana are of the second kind. They chose identical twin brothers Josh and Jeremy Salyers as their husbands, and they had children in quick succession – both boys. Even the names of Jax and Jett are similar. Legally, the two are cousins, genetically they are much more closely related

“Cousins, genetic brothers and quaternary twins,” the Salyers wrote under the image from Jax and Jett’s page on Instagram. “Quaternary” means they are genetically related to Brittany, Briana, Josh and Jeremy.

“Their moms and dads are identical twins,” wrote one user. “Both pairs of parents then had children. Both have exactly the same DNA”.

“If this family did an ancestral DNA test, it would show these babies are siblings, not cousins!” marveled another.

Looking for the right pair

Brittany and Briana are known from the series “Extreme Sisters”. With double marriage and double pregnancy, they have taken their extreme relationship to the extreme. It’s understood the two don’t want to separate after starting a twin family. Brittany and Briana met Josh and Jeremy at a twins festival and they hit it off. After a whirlwind romance, the men proposed to the sisters six months later.

“Me and Josh always knew that if we ever wanted to get married, we would have to find twins,” Jeremy said on the reality series. “We told ourselves that if we didn’t find a pair of twins to fall in love with and marry, we would never be able to do this.”

It was the same with Brittany and Briana. “We’ve often had relationships with individuals who didn’t understand our connection.” She and her sister always dreamed deep down of marrying identical twin brothers. “There was always an underlying stress. If either of us got serious with a single guy, it would ruin the dream we had together.”

Everything together

Today everyone lives under one roof and raises the children together. “I feel like Jett’s parent and I think he feels the same way about Jax,” Jeremy told Entertainment Tonight. “We all live together and raise the kids together. It feels like a family unit, not like two separate couples with their own babies. There are four of us with our two babies.

Too few “Bedrooms and closets are a huge problem in the house,” says Briana. But they not only share the apartment, they also share the account. “Sharing money is not a problem.”
