Özdemir promised a lot and delivered little – economy

Cem Özdemir has started to make agriculture greener. But little has remained of the plan to reform animal husbandry. Otherwise it’s not going well. And he himself would probably prefer to be somewhere else.

There are sentences that are made for a quiz show. For example, this one from the food section: “I want good meat from Germany to be served in the future” or “My vegetables need animals”. The authors of what was said might then be: a) Farmer’s President Joachim Rukwied, b) TV chef Björn Freitag or c) Federal Minister of Agriculture Cem Özdemir. Presumably only a risk-taking candidate would choose the latter and thus the right one. After all, the self-confessed vegetarian is not exactly an advocate of schnitzel and bratwurst.
