Opinions on the cup final: “The fans are grateful, that’s right” – Sport

Christian Streich (Coach SC Freiburg): “We played an incredibly great season, a great first half. When we then led and the red card came, we were a little bit scared because we played one or the other ball too long. But that’s whining high level, we’ll be playing in the European Cup next year. The fans are grateful, that’s right, the team is doing incredible things. Losing to such a great team on penalties, that’s okay. The whole caravan has moved to Berlin. That’s a Give and take. We lose and we win together.”

Prank (to his team): “I told her that she had played an incredibly great season. I congratulated them and said: Look there, people. It’s amazing what has happened to SC Freiburg in the last 20 years.”

Domenico Tedesco (RB Leipzig coach): “It was a very good game from us, especially in the second half when we were outnumbered. We are very, very happy. I can’t really put my mind to it yet, it feels very good. I can only praise the lads for this amazing performance. The team was totally intact, I made a few changes, a few adjustments.”

Oliver Mintzlaff (Managing Director RB Leipzig): “It’s crazy. We played an incredibly bad first half. It’s unbelievable that it still worked out. The first title in our short club history. We’ll let it rip today. It’s a historic evening for us.”

Emil Forsberg (RB Leipzig): “I have no words. Winning like that is just amazing. It shows the passion, the mentality, I’m very proud and happy.”

Peter Gulácsi (RB Leipzig captain): “It’s an incredibly beautiful moment, we’re happy that it worked. The team spirit that we showed today was extraordinary. We had difficult moments today and we still won. It will be a special day, with our fans too celebrate. We will certainly celebrate for a few more days.”
