“On the yellow camp, I dared not do anything, say anything, touch anything”, advances Christine

The surprise advice that took place just after the immunity test for the last episode of “Koh-Lanta, the sacred fire”, broadcast on TF1 on Tuesday, did not have a surprising outcome. In the recomposed yellow team, the law of excess reigned and the yellows of the first hour attacked the ex-reds who joined the tribe. In this case, the sentence was irrevocable for Christine, the 49-year-old dog trainer. The adventurer from Gironde returns for 20 minutes on his journey.

Did you feel in the hot seat?

Yes, I knew that I was going to go out and that the ex-yellows would vote against the ex-reds. As soon as the team was recomposed, it was clear that the core of the ex-yellows would remain as strong as possible and that in the event of defeat, it was up to us, ex-reds, to leave. After Martin’s departure just before on injury, there were only Julie and me, it was a foregone conclusion.

Adventurers justified their vote against you by saying that you were not very active on the camp. They were right?

Of course that’s not true. On the contrary, we were obliged, not to do more, but to show that we were there to fetch water, cut wood… Their camp was theirs, we were their imposed guests. We had trouble fitting in, we didn’t dare do anything, say anything, touch anything. But we would have done the same thing in the opposite case, if we had been lucky enough to be in numerical superiority.

It is simply this numerical superiority which cost you your place?

It didn’t help. I don’t see what else I could have done. I would have had to be the best of the twenty adventurers, but even then they might have wanted to fire me. I tried not to put myself forward, to navigate like that… Putting yourself forward too much, we saw it with Rudy and Helena, it can be expensive in terms of strategy.

Did the successive departures of Benjamin and Martin, injured, put a psychological blow to the yellow team?

No, I didn’t get that impression. Benjamin was at the bottom of the bucket. Everyone tried to remotivate him, but it was a waste of time. Martin, he will have accumulated the bad luck: the checkmate on the foot, the cold sore and it ends with the injury to the ankle…

If you had the chance, what would you change about your adventure or what would you do differently?

(She thinks) Honestly, not much. When I was in the red team, things were going well, so even if we lost, I knew that my place was not in danger at least until the reunification. In the recomposed yellow team, my arms were dangling, I had nothing to do. I don’t think I could have changed anything. Other than trying to flip the whole island to find an immunity collar.
