She was in Thailand for the filming of “Battle of the Reality Stars”: Cathy Hummels was the victim of a robbery. She described the dramatic scenes to the “Bild” newspaper.

“It’s nice when the world is still in order,” writes Cathy Hummels on Instagram on Tuesday. A snapshot shows Mats Hummels’ wife smiling happily in a bikini at the hotel pool in Thailand. The idyll seems perfect – the rainy weather in Germany and the corona pandemic far away. But just hours after this photo was taken, Hummels is the victim of a brutal robbery.

“I was hit on the head from behind. The perpetrator hit me several times. At some point I realized that this is a matter of life and death and I started to defend myself,” says Hummels, describing the dramatic scenes that took place on Sunday played last Saturday on the beach in Thailand, the “Bild” newspaper. Since she had no cash with her, the perpetrator stole her cell phone. “I gathered all my strength and ran back to the hotel.”

The shock of the 34-year-old runs deep. She is convinced that it was “a matter of life and death”. Hummels was in Thailand to film her TV show Battle of the Reality Stars. The production was finished last week, with a walk on the beach she wanted to say goodbye to Thailand shortly before her return flight – apparently alone. Then the brutal attack happened.
