Dead teenagers discovered – parents in custody

The body of a girl is discovered near Worms. Now the 15-year-old’s father and mother are in the investigators’ sights.
After the discovery of a dead 15-year-old on The Mainz District Court has ordered the parents to be remanded in custody on suspicion of manslaughter on the banks of the Rhine in Worms (Rhineland-Palatinate). “There is a suspicion that the accused decided to kill their daughter because they did not agree with her lifestyle,” Mainz Police Headquarters said.
The 39-year-old father and the 34-year-old mother are being held in different correctional facilities. According to the police, the parents and daughter are Afghan nationals.
The teenager was found dead on Monday shortly after 6 p.m. after her mother reported to the Pirmasens police station that morning and reported the suspicion that her daughter had been killed. The crime is believed to have taken place on Saturday evening on the banks of the Rhine. The Mainz criminal police then found the body in the Rheindürkheim district during a search.
