“Gas station lady” inspires 1.8 million on Tiktok

As a “gas station lady”, Esra Cayir (29) from Oldenburg in Lower Saxony now has 1.8 million followers on Tiktok. In reenacted scenes, the native of Lübeck tells of bizarre situations that she experiences in her everyday work in a gas station. She financed her studies with the job, and now she’s done – but she doesn’t know how long she’ll be working in the gas station, says the business lawyer.
At some point she started noting bizarre incidents and re-enacting them in a funny way after work with her smartphone at her workplace as a “gas station lady”, Cayir told the German Press Agency.
In the scenes she plays the customers and herself. One of her first videos went viral. It was about a customer who asked if she also sold cigarettes – while Esra Cayir was standing in front of a large cigarette shelf. In another video, a customer asks Esra Cayir to change the price for Super because it is too expensive for him.
