“Old age abuse”, the doc in 2 minutes from Saturday

In Las Vegas, Nevada, the law allows the guardianship of elderly people without the consent of the family. Cruel individuals seized this opportunity and, with the help of a network of medical professionals, nursing homes and even judges, they were able to dislodge and access the property of many elderly people. They take advantage of the fragility and isolation of their victims to place them in nursing homes, where they will often be neglected or drugged with powerful drugs. They then blame the complaints of these patients on old age or dementia. Overnight, these elderly people lost everything.

In this documentary, director Billie Mintz investigates and sheds light on this corrupt system, which allows the enrichment of evil people by the stripping of vulnerable people. He accompanies those who want to change the law, meets experts and follows the trial of the guardian April Parks, who emptied the bank accounts and isolated from their families more than a hundred elderly people.
