Oktoberfest Munich: That’s how Cathy Hummel’s stroll through the Oktoberfest was – pictures – Munich

A normal visit to the Wiesn should go something like this these days: Put on a dirndl and lederhosen (possibly cursing briefly that you have gained weight), get on the subway, meet at the entrance, stroll around the festival grounds together for a few hours and the drink a beer or two in the beer tent.

If you want to go to the Oktoberfest with Cathy Hummels, that’s not the case. First off, in a pink bathrobe, with a pearl tiara thingy on your head and a handbag, you go to a hotel on Landsberger Strasse: do your hair, put on your make-up, wait for the dirndls and shoes (shock, they haven’t arrived yet) to be delivered. Because: “Today has to be perfect, today we are the princesses,” says Cathy on Instagram.

In the meantime, Cathys-Wiesn-Bummel is a fixed event at the Oktoberfest – to which numerous more or less well-known celebrities and one or the other influencer are invited. Fixed element: advertising for designers, stylists, cosmetics companies. The presenter Sylvia Walker (formerly Sky, today with a broadcaster in Switzerland) also checks her Instagram account. Where else?

After what feels like hours you are “ready to go” – but before that “quickly get my immune booster” – you hold a sachet with “75 vitamins and minerals” in the camera. Oh! “Now nothing can happen to me, not even at the Wiesn.” Understood. Advertising or wishful thinking, one wonders.

For Simone Mecky-Ballack, the Wiesn day can only get better – after her little Photoshop glitch on Saturday: She had herself photographed with presenter Alessandra Geissel at the gingerbread stand and apparently reached into her bag of tricks a bit. Such a strange distortion on the floor, a kind of Theresienwiesen wormhole could be seen at once. “Well, who worked on the legs there?” Notes a user on Instagram. Guess who? “I actually wanted to retouch my bruises on my legs,” writes Mecky-Ballack a little later. She prefers to let a professional do it here: a bit of make-up and the danger of more Oktoberfest wormholes is averted.

Do you know the magic formula of Cathy Hummel’s Oktoberfest stroll? A bit of celebrity, a lot of Instagram and: Playboy. Vanessa Teske (the lady on the left in the picture) doesn’t usually wear that much in the glossy magazine and on Instagram. She is Playmate of the Year 2022. The lady next to her: Darya Strelnikova – she once made it to the semifinals of “Germany’s Next Top Model”. But don’t ask about the squadron now…

All made up? The sponsors happy? And did Cathy’s shoes actually appear? Alright, then a quick group photo. Cathy is kneeling in the middle, we don’t see shoes now, dirndls in front of them, but according to a report by the German Press Agency, they didn’t come. And then? Cathy improvises with white sneakers and white socks. Never mind. Off to the Oktoberfest.

And that’s where she surprised us, Cathy: Clemens Baumgärtner, the Wiesn boss, was waiting on the festival grounds. By no means an influencer, but almost a sign that after all these years and Hummels strolls, the Hummels stroll has finally become mainstream at the Oktoberfest this year, almost a tradition? Or who likes to sunbathe in someone else’s mobile phone flashlight?

Have you eagerly noted down the program so far? Hotel, make-up, shoe drama, group photo, walking across the festival grounds. Then it’s off to Café Kaiserschmarrn. According to her Insta story, Sıla Şahin-Radlinger (actress, left in the picture) was fed Kaiserschmarrn by Sylvia Walker (the woman in the front with the vitamins). Apparently the photographer was too slow to capture it.

And – because that’s not enough for enough Instagram posts – the influencer troupe moves on to the Käfer Wiesn-Schänke. Despite countless photo opportunities, Simone Mecky-Ballack (in the middle of the picture) did not cause another wormhole, and Alessandra Meyer-Wölden is sitting next to her. Your mission for the day: Advertising for the provider of patented cascade fermentation – no kidding, you have to come up with that at the Oktoberfest.

Evelyn Burdecki (right) has already brought a lot of joy to one or the other reality TV viewer. She was with the bachelor, with “I’m a star – get me out of here!”, on the jury, not as a participant, with super talent, and you haven’t seen anything else. Likes to pose – here with Andrea Kaiser, also known from television.

Incidentally, Evelyn Burdecki celebrates her 34th birthday on the Wiesn on this day, she was there the day before and is apparently still so full that her dirndl does not close completely, says and shows her at least in a message to her Insta followers out of the cab. What an arc of suspense for the day! In the end the dirndl came off, as you can see here. Did the fitness blogger Sophia Thiel (on the right in the picture) have her fingers in the pie? Who knows…

Laura Karasek is a television presenter and lawyer and the daughter of literary critic Hellmuth Karasek. The attitude note when eating pretzels – interesting to irritating.

What is Ringlstetter Hannes from BR television doing there on a stroll through the Wiesn? You can see him in the hotel at the influencer make-up campaign, later riding the crinoline with Caro Matzko (left, also on BR television) and eating Kaiserschmarrn here. An eternal mystery. Not even the Instagram feed gives any information. Some things stay a secret at the Wiesn.

The older people know Johannes B. Kerner from television, the younger ones probably not so much – his last Instagram post was a few weeks ago. At least he doesn’t seem to be averse to the analogue Wiesn photographers and presents himself here with beer and the fitness influencer Sophia Thiel (right).

The later the evening, the… more prominent the guests in this case: Christine Neubauer (A-celebrity) and friend José Campos (not sooo well-known) celebrate with the Oktoberfest girls in the Käfer tent. Cathy Hummels then describes her as a “beautiful woman” in her story, celebrates a bit and then dances into the night in bright pink bunny ears in front of the Bavaria.
