They weren’t allowed to accompany them to the Vélodrome but they were there to welcome them, in style, on their return from Marseille. The supporters of OGC Nice, who beat OM on Sunday evening (1-3), welcomed the Aiglons with jubilation worthy of their feat. The last defeat of Igor Tudor’s men dated back… to October 22.
It was after 2 a.m. when the bus, returning from Bouches-du-Rhône, came to join the OGC Nice training center to the cheers of at least a hundred supporters. All in songs and smoke, they notably greeted “Didier Digard, Didier Digard, Didier Didier, Didier Digaaaaaaaaard”.
The (very) good results under the Digard era
The Gym coach (8th in L1) has a record of four wins and a draw since his arrival at the helm of the team. Results much better than those obtained by Lucien Favre, sacked after the elimination of Nice, in the 32nd finals, of the Coupe de France.
“We are in a very good period. Things are going well, we are gaining confidence and that is giving good things, ”reacted Didier Digard after the victory against OM. “It’s a match that was close to the heart of our supporters who couldn’t be there,” he also noted. It’s nice to give them that.” Suffice to say that the gift was well received.
