The Oberschleißheim municipal council recently refused to open a new driveway to Lustheim. Nevertheless, the traffic misery in the part of the community at the castle of the same name is supposed to be dealt with somehow. At the request of free voters, speed limits and parking restrictions are now to be checked. The transport committee of the municipal council decided unanimously.
The FW, whose parliamentary group spokesman Stefan Vohburger lives in Lustheim, complain in their application “for a long time a problem with blocked roads and increased speed”. Oncoming traffic is “only possible to a limited extent” due to the cars parked on both sides of the street, which not least makes it difficult for rescue workers to be able to intervene in an emergency in good time.
On the other hand, the Free Voters want to have observed that, despite the area-wide 30 km / h zone, people often drive too fast, which is threatening for the children in the residential streets. The influx of visitors to the castle park is also increasing steadily, which exacerbates both problems. The FW therefore demand the designation of a Tempo 20 zone, dedications as play streets or other regulations “which would significantly improve traffic in Lustheim”. The town hall administration should now examine the various options and then put them to a vote.
