Presiding judges rarely give interviews, they feel obliged to exercise restraint. Exceptions are court press spokesmen, but that was not Richard Caspar in July 2010. Rather, at the time he presided over the jury chamber of the Nuremberg district court, a chamber for complex capital crimes. Large trials were taking place at the time – and many years later – in Hall 600, which had been there since the Nazi trials of 1945/46 probably the most famous courtroom in the world.
