After a heavy stone was thrown at a 14-year-old girl at a Nuremberg subway station, the police arrested a suspect. The young person was housed in a psychiatric clinic, the investigators said on Monday. The background to the fact is so far unclear. The 16-year-old is being investigated for attempted homicide.
The girl was taken to hospital after the May 9 incident with minor injuries after the stone grazed her head. Because the stone was so massive that throwing it from a height of four to five meters at the entrance to the subway station could have been life-threatening, the homicide squad of the Nuremberg criminal police took over the investigation.
