A case from the category: stupid. In Nuremberg, a thief makes an unusual choice. The police are quickly on his trail.
Rarely has a thief made it so easy for the police: When a surveillance camera was stolen in In Nuremberg, a man’s loot became his downfall. The device attached to a garden shed recorded the 35-year-old shortly before the crime and alerted the owner, police said on Thursday.
In addition, the owner was able to track the current location of the camera live after the theft on Wednesday, which quickly led investigators to the suspect.
The man was arrested a short time later in the city center, said a police spokesman. “He still had the camera with him. That was of course very convenient for us.” The 35-year-old is now being investigated for trespassing and theft.
