Nuremberg: Police arrest suspected sex offenders – Bavaria

A 42-year-old is suspected of breaking into several kindergartens and elementary schools in Nuremberg and threatening to sexually abuse children.

The police in Nuremberg have foiled several alleged sexual offenses against children. A 42-year-old is suspected of breaking into several kindergartens and elementary schools in Nuremberg and threatening to sexually abuse children, the police said on Tuesday. The man from the Neu-Ulm district is said to have stolen a change of clothes from children in at least six burglaries in the north of Nuremberg. In two cases, investigators found letters in which an unknown person describes sexual fantasies involving children. A piece of underwear from the child in question, which was presumably stolen, was enclosed with the letters. An investigative group finally identified the 42-year-old as a suspect. After another burglary in a Nuremberg elementary school in the night of last Thursday, the police arrested the man near the crime scene. During searches of the man’s apartments in the Neu-Ulm district and in Nuremberg, investigators found children’s stolen change of clothes and letters with pedophile content prepared for dispatch. The man was taken into custody on suspicion of distributing child pornography. The police assume that the man has been in Nuremberg regularly for work for about two years.
