The National Archives garden is taking part in this 20th edition of Nuit Blanche in Paris, this Saturday October 1, 2022, with a nice sweet surprise on the program for all gourmets.

The Sleepless night is back in Paris this Saturday, October 1, 2022, for a festive 20th edition full of surprises. This year again, the National Archives invite us to discover its history and its buildings. This time, we have an appointment in the gardens of the’Soubise Hotel, for a gourmet and surprising event not to be missed.

The artist Yann Paolozzi takes possession of the gardens of the National Archives, with its retro sculpture and ultra fun, which should conquer the hearts of children and adults alike. Between a childhood trip and an expedition to America in the 1960s, this work has something to fascinate all the curious.

On the program for this exceptional Nuit Blanche:

  • Yann Paolozzi
    Saturday, October 01, 2022 from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

La Dodge à papa is a playful sculpture inspired by mechanical sports cars from the 60s and 70s (muscle car) with super powerful engines. It thus reflects American culture and aesthetics.
Symbol of popular celebration, a candy floss machine adorns the top of the engine ventilation intake. Under the hood, this famous 16-valve V8 feeds on cotton candy like fuel. This atypical Dodge is then tinged with this sweet pink that takes us back to childhood.
Free distribution of cotton candy (subject to availability).

A great initiative, in short, to bring this mansion and its gardens, located in the heart of the Swamp and built in 1371. This mansion passed from Constable of France to Dukes, passing by the Princess of Condé and other great names of the French monarchy. Since then, theSoubise Hotel was acquired by the state in 1867 by imperial decree and officially assigned to the Empire Archives : Napoleon I brought together the archives which were until now kept in several Parisian repositories.

Bonn visit, friends!
