NFT artist warns after being scammed by scammers from Instagram

Josh Chavez took to Twitter to share his sad story about the malicious scam he was targeted. Criminals apply old techniques to infected files in documents attached to e-mail messages.

A scammer going by the name “Oscar Davies” sent the document. One of them says it’s a .pdf file but it’s actually .exe.

when he opened that file The file was instantly bound to Chrome, which also had the MetaMask wallets browser, and in the blink of an eye. It withdrew the tokens from his MetaMask and sold all the NFTs at auction for a fraction of the actual price.
