Pregnant woman injured in fight in beer tent
A pregnant woman was injured in a confrontation with security in the Paulaner festival tent on Wednesday evening. At around 9:10 p.m., the 28-year-old from Munich was in a corridor of the tent with her 30-year-old husband and three other people and was asked by security to leave this passage as they were not allowed to stay there.
When the five people did not comply with the request, additional security guards were called in and a scuffle ensued. According to police, during this scuffle, the pregnant woman’s husband was injured in the face and the seven-month pregnant woman fell. She was also injured in the fall by a security service employee who hit her in the stomach.
It is still unclear how the collision occurred. The couple received medical treatment and the pregnant woman was able to leave the hospital on her own in the evening, but will undergo further checks. The security service employee is now being investigated on suspicion of bodily harm.
