New “House of the Dragon” teaser
Plenty of kites fuel the anticipation

Before the “House of the Dragon” start, HBO is heating up with a new teaser – that can be taken literally given the density of dragons in the clip.
The eagerly awaited “Game of Thrones” offshoot “House of the Dragon” will start next Sunday in the USA, in Germany it is already on the night of August 22nd on Sky/Wow. To get the fans of Westeros and the surrounding area in the mood for the new series, HBO Max has another one atmospheric teaser published on Twitter. It not only promises the usual power intrigues, but also lots of action – and even more dragons.
“Fire will reign”: The teaser more than lives up to this slogan. Whether on land, on water or of course in the air: Fire-breathing dragons can be found everywhere to reduce the enemies of the ruling Targaryens to ashes. But there are also tensions within the house.
Civil War with Dragons
The reason for the impending war in “House of the Dragon” is once again the question of succession to the throne. The benevolent King Viserys I Targaryen (Paddy Considine, 48) declares his firstborn daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy, 30) to be his successor. But it turns out to be problematic: With his second wife Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke, 28), the ruler of the Seven Kingdoms also fathered several male offspring – and a woman has never sat on the Iron Throne.
The problem when Targaryens fight Targaryens: Both conflicting parties have numerous dragons and use the fire-breathing beasts in the civil war against their relatives and former friends.
