The energy transition, it is said, is a done deal. From 2026, no new oil heaters may be installed in residential buildings, whether existing or new. In addition, from January 1, 2024, 65 percent of the heat generated in new systems should come from renewable energies. This was announced by Federal Building Minister Klara Geywitz (SPD) last week.
