Boulevards de la Villette and de la Chapelle closed to traffic between the Stalingrad and La Chapelle metro stations, a dozen or so cars lined up with orange flashing lights, a large deployment of law enforcement… There is no doubt that this is of an evacuation of migrants. It is already the fourth evacuation in two months in this popular district of north-eastern Paris.
It is difficult to say with precision the number of migrants taken in charge by the authorities this Wednesday morning, but their number was counted in the hundreds. The evacuation took place calmly, at the level of the basketball court, near the Stalingrad metro station.
