Neuschwanstein: Throne room is completely renovated – Bavaria

For the first time since its completion in 1886, extensive restoration and renovation work is currently underway in the state rooms of Neuschwanstein Castle. The work on the unique works of art affects all show, ancillary and functional rooms accessible to visitors as well as the former royal apartment in the gate building, the Ministry of Finance and Homeland announced on Wednesday in Munich. The famous singer’s hall had already been restored for some time, and from now on the well-known throne hall with its large chandelier can be visited again in all its glory, it was said. Only minor remaining work on the chandelier still needs to be completed. In addition to Byzantine church buildings, the sacral throne room was also modeled on the Court Church of All Saints in the Munich Residence and symbolizes Ludwig II’s idea of a kingship by the grace of God.
