Neubiberger vote for cycling infrastructure and digitization – district of Munich

Many people from Neubberg are in favor of the cycling infrastructure being actively expanded. Many also think it is good if the digitization of administrative services is pushed ahead. This was the result of the first vote with the “Democy” app in the fall, as in the current community journal Well is to be read. Citizens were able to express their opinions on community issues for six weeks. The community had introduced the app in July for a year. One goal is that local politicians can quickly get a picture of their opinion. In the first round, 619 people downloaded the tool and voted diligently. This corresponds to around 4.3 percent of the population. The majority of the people come from the age group between 36 and 55 years. For a first round of voting, this participation is very good, Nadiia Savchenko, project manager and employee of Democy, is quoted in the community journal. She has already accompanied several municipalities with the introduction of the app and speaks from experience. Mayor Thomas Pardeller (CSU) is also satisfied there. 537 people voted in favor of further advancing the digitization of administrative services, 400 in favor of expanding the cycling infrastructure. Both topics are taken up in the respective responsible offices. At the beginning of 2022 there should be another voting round on various topics.
