The Neubiberg initiative “Climate Neutral 2035” invites you to online information evenings, which are intended to support citizens in becoming active themselves in the field of energy transition. The topic “Heat pumps – the future of heating” is on the agenda this Tuesday. On Thursday, November 10th, the motto “Solar power from your own roof is worthwhile” will be about photovoltaic systems. On Thursday, November 17th, the participants will learn a lot about balcony power plants. According to a press release, the initiative would like the municipality of Neubiberg to speed up the implementation of the decision to achieve climate neutrality. The municipal council decided more than a year ago to become climate neutral by 2040 at the latest. Some concepts for this have already been decided, such as the master plan, which is to be drawn up as a pioneering concept, or the partial energy utilization plan for heat supply. From the point of view of the initiative, however, none of this has progressed far enough; the plan for heat supply, for example, is still in the tendering phase, as the press release states. All of this is important from the point of view of the initiative, but it does not want to rely on the creation of concepts, but also calls for immediate measures to be decided and implemented in order to increase the speed on the way to climate neutrality.
