Neubiberg – symphonic offensive in elementary school – district of Munich

Locally known soloists present entertaining pieces at the Academy Concert of the “Symphonic Offensive Neubiberg” in the local elementary school on Saturday, March 4th. Dominik Seibold needs nimble fingers and a quick tongue for the imaginative “Variations for Clarinet and Orchestra” by Gioacchino Rossini. Like everyone else, Seibold set impressive artistic accents as a student at the Neubiberg Gymnasium and has now completed his master’s degree in clarinet at the Mozarteum Salzburg.

Immanuel Tomasini and Timke Klinker play each other the solo parts in Antonio Vivaldi’s “Concerto for 2 Trumpets in C Major”, before the orchestra takes over the sole direction with Joseph Haydn’s “Symphony No. 13”, composed in 1763. It is followed by the so-called “little g minor symphony” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with partly harrowing sounds. Although only written at the age of 17, this music reflects the deepest human tragedy and sadness, but also lets light and conciliatory moments shine through.

The “Maureric Funeral Music” that sounds at the end could be interpreted as a reflection of a world gone haywire. “So it’s also very relevant to today,” emphasizes Franz Schuhbeck, who directs the ensemble of former and current students and teachers from the Neubiberg high school, reinforced by professionals from the State Opera Orchestra.

“Symphonic Offensive Neubiberg”, Academy Concert, Saturday, March 4th, 7.30 p.m., Neubiberg Elementary School, Rathausplatz 9, tickets for 18 euros, reduced 9 euros at the box office, free for under 18s.
