Neubiberg – Cars burned out in the parking lot of the Bundeswehr University – Munich district

In the parking lot of the Bundeswehr University on Zwergerstraße in Neubiberg, two cars went up in flames at around 1.30 a.m. on Saturday night. According to the police, there was damage of 100,000 euros because cars standing next to it were also affected. According to operations manager Andreas Baumann from the Unterbiberg fire brigade, the two cars were fully engulfed in flames when the fire crews arrived.

The fires were quickly extinguished. Since the two cars were at opposite ends of the parking lot, Baumann said it was “obvious and to be assumed” that arson was involved. The police searched for possible suspects with helicopters, among other things, but without success.

She is now looking for witnesses who made observations in the area of Lilienthalstrasse and Zwergerstrasse that could be related to this incident. The Munich Police Headquarters, Commissariat 13, phone 089/2910-0, accepts information.
