After the immense success of Lupine across the world, Netflix is giving the green light to several French productions. On Tuesday, exactly one year after opening an office in Paris, the streaming giant announced the start of several action films and series as relayed by the Hollywood Reporter.

Among the footage, there will be A Tombeau Open, an adaptation of the Korean film A Hard Day (2014), with Simon Abkarian and Franck Gastambide in the cast. Then, it is Louis Leterrier who will have the opportunity to find Omar Sy in a sequel to The other side of the ring-road (2012). Finally, Lost bullet, Guillaume Pierret’s film released on Netflix in 2020 will also be entitled to a sequel.

Promised land

On the series side, Netflix is betting on The 7 Lives of Léa, the adaptation of a novel by Nataël Trapp intended for teenage audiences. The platform also relies on Bendo, a rather thriller-oriented series in which a TV journalist finds herself owing 2 million euros to a drug dealer.

The Hexagon has quickly become a favorite ground for Netflix on a European scale. By the end of the year, the platform will have produced no less than 27 films, series and documentaries there.
