Vicco von Bülow, alias Loriot, cleverly staged and commented on the malaises of the educated bourgeoisie in a subtle, mocking manner and yet never in a common offense. Ten years ago – on August 22, 2011 – the humorist died in Münsing. In the community on the east bank of Lake Starnberg he was an honorary citizen and also privately engaged, albeit always cautious. Outside of town, hardly anyone would know that they liked to wear hand-knitted socks. The 88-year-old Josefine Schmid made a few copies for Loriot.
