Shortly before the start, there was still some concern that drunk Romanian football fans might become part of the magical forest in Athens. But around eight o’clock, things calmed down around the Hofspielhaus and the weather played along. Everything was ready for the premiere of this year’s open-air theater of the youth club. Christiane Brammer, director of the Hofspielhaus, explained in advance of the selection of the play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”: “I have the feeling that young people have a special sensitivity for our society.” That’s why they chose something funny, despite all the negative news – and that gives hope for the future.
