In the diverse program, various aspects of alternative lifestyles are highlighted. The films are anything but mainstream. This is how the comedy tells, for example Shiva baby the story of a bisexual Jewish woman in New York who moves from one unpleasant situation to the next at a funeral service (Thursday, October 14th, 6.30 p.m., City-Atelier-Kino). The documentation Rebel Dykes again is about an activist group of lesbians who mixed up London in the 1980s (Saturday, October 16, 2:30 p.m., City-Atelier-Kino).
Alternative lifestyles are far from common in the film industry. In a panel discussion that takes place one day before the official start of the festival, we will talk about how film roles can be cast more diverse and without prejudice and what has to change in the industry for this. The discussion takes place under the title “Actout”, based on the manifesto #ActOut, which was signed in February 2021 by 185 actresses and actors who, among other things, identify themselves as lesbian, gay, bi, trans *, queer, inter and non -identify binary and advocate for more diversity in the film industry.

The festival will open on Wednesday, October 13th, in the Kristelli Theater, Schwere-Reiter-Straße 15. The coming-of-age film will be shown Stop Zemlia from Ukraine, by the director Kateryna Gornostai.
