The fire brigade was deployed with a large number of fires in Munich-Laim. A car caught fire in the underground car park of a high-rise building early Thursday morning, a fire department spokesman said. The fire spread to another car and affected a third vehicle. The underground car park is smoky and there are several high-performance and large fans installed.
Upon arrival in the skyscraper, the emergency services discovered a second fire in the same building: the kitchen of an apartment on the new floor was on fire. More than 100 firefighters from the professional and voluntary fire brigade were involved in the extinguishing operation. Nobody got hurt. The cause of the fires is still unclear. According to the fire brigade, the amount of damage is in the upper six-digit range.
